Liam Brady

Hello! I am Liam. Welcome to my website.

I have had many different jobs, and they have all taught me something. If you would like just a basic explanation of my experience, please check out my LinkedIn.

Stanford Management Company, 2025 –

Currently I work at Stanford Management Company, where I help manage the endowment of Stanford University.

Scalable Capital, 2022- 2025

Scalable is one of Europe’s most ambitious FinTechs. Founded in 2014, it has grown to have over 1 million clients and over €20 billion in AUM. Scalable provides a platform for retail investors through a brokerage and also offers wealth management services.

My role involved running daily operations for the Brokerage, such as trading, account reconciliation, payments, risk management, documentation, and post-trading processes. Over time I gained technical expertise and began conducting business analyses for the C-Level, guiding and implementing long term projects.

It was not only an education in finance but also in operating a high growth business. I’m very grateful that this could be my first “proper” job after university!

The University Philosophical Society, 2019-2021

Affectionately referred to as “the Phil”, the University Philosophical Society is the world’s oldest student society and the largest society in Ireland. Events occur daily, including debates, lectures, and discussions with some of the world’s forefront leaders. During my time there we chatted with politicians, famous thinkers, and business leaders. The Phil is located in the Graduate’s Memorial Building, which was built by former society members.

The Phil is a debate society, and I engaged in competitive debates (BP Style). I was selected to represent the university at the European Championships in Astana, Kazakstan in 2020. Sadly, due to Covid-19 we had to attend online, but it was a good competition nonetheless!

I was on the Phil Council for two years, with my second year being the Treasurer. In that role I shored up the Society’s financial situation and set the society on a great course for growth. It was great to give back to an institution that taught me to debate and made so many great memories.
